Time with Genie

Went down to Costa Mesa today to have lunch with Genie. We'd planned this several times during the month, but put it off because I was sick.

Got down there, and had a little time to tussle with the nephews. It's been less than three weeks since I've seen them, but Bean 3 is clearly crawling like a champion, and enthralled with all the things there are to discover. Beans 1 and 2 are tanned and fit from hours in the pool. Bean 1 is getting more and more verbal in English, and it's fascinating to hear him talk about through his thoughts and childish desires. Bean 2 is also getting more verbal, but I think he is often frustrated by his inability to keep up with his older brother.

Lunch was at Pinot Provence, reviewed here. Yummy business lunch with three courses each. It was not a lot of food, but it was delicious and filling. Especially liked the duck with fig. Good to have some one on one time with Genie. Find out how the boys are doing, and how she's experiencing motherhood with these rambunctious boys, and how they're learning, growing, and developing their distinct personalities. It's so comforting to see Bork so well-settled in life with such a wonderful wife. Genie helps temper his, well, temper, and smooths life in so many little ways. And they just love each other. We're all keeping our fingers crossed that the summer internships continues to go well, and that the Dragon family will settle down in southern California.
