Rush Blogging: Happy Easter

Had to wake up extra early to practice songs for today. Ugh. Who's the "unprepared virgen" now?

Church music okay. Doc Martin does the best she can with the choir, and she's a fantastic director, but she's working with a dearth of quality singers. Maybe one good soprano, two goos alto's (on a good day), and one good tenor. And these can't alsways drown out the perpetually off-key singers.

Need for good Easter music not fulfilled, Stayed for the LA 1st sacrament meeting. Again, music okay, not stellar. Until the 6 person men's acapella group sang, "Were You There." Gospel spiritual song. Amazing. Made the whole day's church attendance worthwhile. Music is one of the primary ways that I am uplifted by the spirit. Must better incorporate it into my life.

Had a brief bite to eat with Wonderwoman and Gadget Boy. Really delish gourmet food, eventhough she said it was really caj. White Boy showed up really late, which was not polite. Hmmm.

Trekked up to the valley to spend time at the homestead. Watched Baptists at Our Barbecue with Dad. Mom still at H&R Block working on even later lat minute tax payers, since apparently tomorrow is the last day to file. Fell asleep waiting for her.
