Posted my first piece on the Exponent II blog. It's not an explicitly feminist essay, although I have been very impressed with the feminists I have personally met.
The thing is, it's easy for me to be a reactionary towards overbearing traditionalists. In fact, I take a degree of pleasure in blasting people who write that single women have less "right" to jobs than married men with children, complain that women in the church are choosing careers over marriage, and hold feminism responsible for the breakdown of the family. What's more difficult is to maintain a defensive posture specifically against men, when I feel that people need to treat each other with more respect in general.
Anyway, I'm learning more and more, and excited to be a part of this group blog in particular.
